Commitment to Quality

Our commitment to quality is exemplified by our in-house, full-service, quality control lab, assuring PNI’s excellence in four areas: raw materials, testing, process, and R & D.

Certification

We hold Kosher certification and NPA GMP certification. While Canada no longer issues certifications to foreign manufacturers, we do comply with the Canadian regulations and have current documentation on file with the Canadian regulatory agency. We have addressed the incoming federal GMPs by reviewing and editing all organizational documents and SOPs to comply with the proposed regulations and welcomed third party review and audit to demonstrate our compliance.

Raw Materials

Quality begins with carefully selected and analyzed raw materials. We pre-qualify all of our raw materials suppliers: investigating and auditing their facilities, processes, and standards. With our many years of experience in the industry, we have long-term relationships with the best growers and manufacturers.

Every ingredient must have a certificate of analysis, is quarantined upon arrival at our facilities, and undergoes rigorous inspection before use.

Testing

We have state-of-the-art equipment, and our in-house testing capabilities include:

Raw material identification by IR spectroscopy
Microbiological screening for TPC, Coliform, E.coli, Enterobacteriase, Yeast, and Mold
Assay verification by High Performance Liquid Chromotography (HPLC) and UV-Vis spectroscopy
Mineral and metal analysis by AA
Testing for tablet disintegration, friability, shelf-life stability, fill-weight, and hardness
Botanical identification by TLC (added during 2007)

This ensures you of finished product potency and quality.

Third party labs are currently used for pesticide and heavy metals analysis and for confirmation of critical or questionable results.

Process

PNI’s stringent quality control process is Kosher-certified and closely monitors production from raw materials to finished product. Our Littleford blender is renowned for blending materials very uniformly; our follow-up analysis verifies that potency is accurate, tablet to tablet, capsule to capsule. Products are tested and inspected at intervals during manufacture, and our large inspection tables enable automated visual inspection of every finished capsule and tablet, with accuracy confirmed during a final analysis by the Quality Control Lab.

We evaluate the appropriateness of each combination of ingredients, and have the technical know-how to help you put together the ideal formula for your needs. Working closely with physicians over the years, we have a wealth of knowledge about nutritional and botanical ingredients and offer the kind of savvy formulating that will help you be successful in the marketplace.
