Exacting standards, a streamlined process, state-of-the-art
equipment and dedication to short lead times are the hallmarks
of custom manufacturing at PNI.
We offer comprehensive, turn-key, full-service manufacturing, including formulation, sourcing, blending, processing, tableting/encapsulation, bottling, labeling—every aspect of product development. Occasionally, we outsource special packaging requirements if cost/time factors indicate the need.
- Our facilities and processes have received the coveted NPA Good Manufacturing Practices Certification.
Third party auditors conduct intensive inspections of “all facilities involved in manufacture, packaging, testing and/or distribution of dietary supplements.”
- Recent additions include a Littleford blender/granulator – the
best equipment of its kind in the industry—ensuring uniformity of ingredients
in each unit dose; a new Bosch encapsulation machine, and an automated
powder filling line.
- We use special metal detectors to check for contaminants in our raw
materials, and have new inspection tables for more thorough inspection
of individual capsules and tablets—checking them for spots, cracks, and
dents.
- We have recently upgraded our computer software systems, which are designed
specifically for pharmaceutical manufacturing and we’ve added new
refrigerated cold storage for probiotics and other temperature-sensitive
ingredients.
- Producing high-quality products requires time for quarantines and extensive
testing. Unlike many other companies we quarantine, test and inventory
significant quantities of a wide range of raw materials so they’ll
be ready for immediate use. Our full-service in-house quality control
lab and our expertise in formulating also serve to shorten lead times.
- We have a 35,000 square foot building and will expand to a 105,000 square
foot facility in the next two years. Our current capacity for tablet and
capsule manufacturing is 100 million per month.
- Our facility processing methods, including cleaning of equipment, methods
of storage and documentation, are certified Kosher, known to the public
as an iron-clad guarantee of impeccable standards.
- We formalize all manufacturing process instructions and provide formal training for all employees.
